Assessment of Compressive Strength Variations of Concrete Poured in-Site of Residential Buildings in Isoko District, Delta State, Nigeria

Concrete with appreciable compressive strength is required for building constructions, to minimize the occurrence of failures. Determination in-situ concrete produced in Isoko region Nigeria was carried this study. used construction foundation wall footings twenty residential buildings were sampled The determined accordance ASTM standards. Field survey depicted that most (60%) quality production process fell below approved standard 17 MPa, buildings. findings study revealed varied between 8.1 MPa and 19.8 MPa. Furthermore, result test showed (70%) failed meet NIS recommended standard. Also, it observed from proportionally, by conventional building/construction engineers a higher strength, when compared solely masons. Based on observations obtained study, Government should constantly educate sites managers, need adhere strictly recommendations, order improve concretes produced.
